Cellulose is widely used in thermal insulation mortar masterbatch, putty powder, asphalt road, gypsum products and other industries. It has the characteristics of improving and optimizing building materials, and improving production stability and construction suitability. Today, I will introduce to you the problems caused by cellulose when using putty powder.
(1) After the putty powder is mixed with water, the more it is stirred, the thinner it becomes.
Cellulose is used as a thickener and water-retaining agent in putty powder. Due to the thixotropy of cellulose itself, the addition of cellulose in putty powder also causes thixotropy after the putty is mixed with water. This type of thixotropy is caused by the destruction of the loosely combined structure of the components in the putty powder. Such structures arise at rest and disintegrate under stress.
(2) The putty is relatively heavy during the scraping process.
This kind of situation usually occurs because the viscosity of the cellulose used is too high. The recommended addition amount of the interior wall putty is 3-5kg, and the viscosity is 80,000-100,000.
(3) The viscosity of cellulose with the same viscosity is different in winter and summer.
Because of the thermal gelation of cellulose, the viscosity of the putty and mortar made will gradually decrease with the increase of temperature. When the temperature exceeds the cellulose gel temperature, the cellulose will be precipitated from the water, thus losing viscosity. It is recommended to choose a product with a higher viscosity when using the product in summer, or increase the amount of cellulose, and choose a product with a higher gel temperature. Try not to use methyl cellulose in summer. Around 55 degrees, the temperature is slightly higher, and its viscosity will be greatly affected.
To sum up,
cellulose is used in putty powder and other industries,
HPMC for Wall Putty which can improve fluidity, reduce density, have excellent air permeability, and is green and environmentally friendly. It is the best choice for us to choose and use.
